it's been a hectic few days. First, The Rotary Club of Walsall held a very successful fundraising concert with the pianist Mariia Hryhorets. The signed book by Walsall FC fetched just under £300, and I sold the remaining books I had. We have now sold 100 books, and another print run is about when, not if.
Two books were hand carried to Kyiv over the weekend, I am waiting to hear if they arrived. One book is for Efrem Lukatsky, The Associated press's chief Photographer in Kyiv. You will have seen many of his pictures from the war. the other book...And this is where the title of this blog comes in. The second book is signed, and to be given to President Zelensky, if, indeed dreams do come true, I'll receive a picture of him holding the book. Perchance to dream...
The Book Depository are playing fast and loose with the pricing. Today in Canada it's $62 CDN and in the UK they are back to the RRP of £29.99. If you are in the UK and have yet to buy a copy, I recommend using the webpage set up for the book - www.kyivbook.shop For the price of £28 you get free shipping in the UK. This is better than Amazon, The Book Directory, or Waterstones.
That's all for now. I'll update you on the books in Kyiv when I get news.
